Permission Profiles
Permission profiles control what meetings each member can access based on their role in the organization.
Default Profiles
Every organization comes with four built-in permission profiles:
Admin
| Call Access | All calls in the organization |
| Can Share | Yes |
| Can Export | Yes |
| Can Manage Team | Yes - can invite members, change profiles, edit hierarchy |
Best for: Executives, Sales Ops, Revenue Operations
Manager
| Call Access | Calls from people who report to them (all levels) |
| Can Share | Yes |
| Can Export | Yes |
| Can Manage Team | No |
Best for: Team leads, Directors, anyone who manages a team
Team Member
| Call Access | Calls from their manager and everyone under that manager |
| Can Share | Yes |
| Can Export | No |
| Can Manage Team | No |
Best for: Team members who benefit from seeing teammates' calls for coaching and best practice sharing
Member
| Call Access | Only their own calls |
| Can Share | No |
| Can Export | No |
| Can Manage Team | No |
Best for: Individual contributors who don't need to see others' calls. This is the default for new members.
Access Types Explained
All Calls (Admin)
Can see every meeting recorded by anyone in the organization. Use this for people who need full visibility like executives or operations teams.
Reports' Calls (Manager)
Can see meetings from everyone in their reporting chain. This is recursive - if Alice manages Bob, and Bob manages Carol, Alice can see both Bob's and Carol's meetings.
This requires setting up the team hierarchy.
Manager's Team (Team Member)
Can see meetings from:
- Their direct manager
- Everyone else who reports to that manager (siblings)
- Everyone under those siblings (the entire subtree)
This is useful for collaborative teams where everyone benefits from seeing each other's calls.
Own Only (Member)
Can only see meetings they personally recorded. They can still access meetings where they were a participant (automatic) or that were explicitly shared with them.
Assigning Profiles
To change a member's permission profile:
- Go to Settings → Organization → Members
- Find the member in the list
- Use the Role dropdown to select their new profile
- Changes take effect immediately
Profile + Other Access
Permission profiles work alongside other access types. A member always has access to:
- Meetings they own (they recorded it)
- Meetings they were a participant in (email match)
- Meetings explicitly shared with them
- Meetings allowed by their permission profile
These stack - a Member profile user can still see meetings they participated in, even though their profile is "own only".
