IceCubes uses AI to generate meeting summaries, extract key points, identify action items, and create structured outlines of your conversations.
Generating a Summary
To generate an AI summary:
- Open any completed meeting
- Go to the "Summary" tab
- Click "Generate Summary"
- Wait 10-30 seconds for processing
AI Credits
AI summaries use credits from your account. Free accounts have limited monthly credits. Upgrade to Pro for more summaries.
What's Included
Overview
A concise paragraph summarizing the main topics discussed, decisions made, and overall meeting outcome.
Key Points
Bullet points highlighting the most important topics, conclusions, and notable statements from the meeting.
Action Items
Tasks and to-dos mentioned during the meeting, automatically identified and ready to be assigned to team members.
Topic Outline
A structured outline of topics discussed, organized chronologically with timestamps for easy navigation.
AI Chat
Beyond summaries, you can have a conversation with AI about your meeting:
- "What did [Person] say about [Topic]?" - Find specific statements
- "Summarize the discussion on [Topic]" - Get targeted summaries
- "What decisions were made?" - Identify conclusions
- "List all questions that were asked" - Find Q&A moments
- "What follow-ups were mentioned?" - Catch commitments
Summary Templates
IceCubes supports different summary templates optimized for various meeting types:

Saving Action Items
After generating a summary, you'll see AI-extracted action items. You can:
- Review the suggested action items
- Edit text or assignees as needed
- Click "Save Action Items" to add to your task list
- Dismiss items that aren't actual tasks
Saved action items appear in your Action Items page and can be assigned, given due dates, and tracked to completion.
Summary Quality Tips
- Longer meetings work better: More content means better summaries
- Clean transcripts help: Fix major errors before generating
- Name speakers correctly: Accurate attribution improves action item assignment
- Use consistent terminology: AI picks up on project names and jargon
Edge Cases
Summary seems inaccurate
AI summaries are generated based on the transcript text:
- Check if the transcript has errors that affected the summary
- Edit the transcript and regenerate if needed
- Use AI Chat for more specific questions
Action items not detected
AI looks for explicit task language. Try:
- Ask AI Chat: "What tasks or follow-ups were mentioned?"
- Create manual action items for implicit commitments
- Use clearer language in future meetings ("I'll do X by Y")
Summary generation fails
- Check your AI credits balance
- Very short meetings may not have enough content
- Try refreshing and generating again
- Contact support if the issue persists
