Working with Transcripts

Learn how to view, edit, search, and export your meeting transcripts.

Transcript Structure

Each transcript is organized into segments with:

  • Speaker name: Who said the text
  • Timestamp: When it was said (relative to meeting start)
  • Text content: What was said
  • "You" indicator: Highlights your own speech

Viewing Transcripts

Access transcripts from the meeting detail page:

  1. Go to the Meetings page
  2. Click on any meeting
  3. Select the "Transcript" tab

The transcript viewer shows:

  • Full transcript with speaker labels
  • Timestamps in HH:MM:SS format
  • Clickable segments for navigation
  • Highlighted segments when searching

Editing Transcripts

Fix transcription errors by editing segments:

  1. Click on any transcript segment
  2. Edit the text content
  3. Changes are saved automatically

Renaming Speakers

If a speaker was misidentified:

  1. Click on the speaker name in the participants list
  2. Enter the correct name
  3. All segments from that speaker will be updated

Marking Yourself

Mark which speaker is you for better analytics and filtering. Look for the "Mark as me" option next to speaker names.

Searching Transcripts

Use the search feature to find specific content:

  • Type keywords in the search box
  • Matching segments are highlighted
  • Click on results to jump to that section
  • Search works across all meetings on the main page

Exporting Transcripts

Export transcripts for use outside IceCubes:

  • Copy to clipboard: Click the copy button for plain text
  • Include timestamps: Option to add timestamps to export
  • Include speakers: Option to add speaker labels

Transcript Accuracy

Transcription accuracy depends on several factors:

Best Practices

  • Review after meetings: Quick review catches transcription errors
  • Fix speaker names early: Easier to fix once than edit many segments
  • Use consistent names: Ask participants to use the same display name
  • Mark yourself: Helps with analytics and "Assigned to me" features
