Transcript Accuracy
Transcription accuracy depends on several factors:
| Factor | Impact | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Audio quality | High | Use a good microphone, minimize background noise |
| Speaking clarity | High | Speak clearly, avoid mumbling |
| Technical jargon | Medium | Edit after meeting for accuracy |
| Accents | Medium | Modern speech recognition handles most accents well |
| Overlapping speech | High | Take turns speaking when possible |
Best Practices
- Review after meetings: Quick review catches transcription errors
- Fix speaker names early: Easier to fix once than edit many segments
- Use consistent names: Ask participants to use the same display name
- Mark yourself: Helps with analytics and "Assigned to me" features
