Notification Types

Understanding the different notifications IceCubes sends.

Configurable Notifications

These notifications can be enabled or disabled in Settings:

Team Mentions

When a teammate mentions you in a meeting comment using the @ symbol, you receive a notification.

  • Enabled by default
  • Can be disabled in Settings

How mentions work

  1. In any meeting comment, type @ followed by a name
  2. Select the person from the autocomplete dropdown
  3. Submit your comment
  4. The mentioned person receives a notification with a link to the comment

Note: You can only mention people who have access to the meeting (team members or users the meeting has been shared with).

Weekly Digest

Opt-in to receive a weekly email summary of your meeting activity:

  • Number of meetings captured
  • Pending action items
  • Overdue tasks

Enable this in Settings under Notifications.

Always-On Notifications

These notifications are always sent and cannot be disabled:

Meeting Shared

When someone shares a meeting transcript with you, you'll be notified so you can access and review it immediately.

  • Meeting title
  • Name of the person who shared it
  • Direct link to the meeting

Action Item Assigned

When an action item is assigned to you, you receive a notification.

  • Task description
  • Due date (if set)
  • Link to the meeting where the task originated

Organization Invitation

When someone invites you to join their organization, you receive a notification with a link to the invitations page where you can accept or decline.

  • Organization name
  • Name of the person who invited you
  • Link to your pending invitations

Action Item Comment

When someone comments on an action item you created or are assigned to, or @mentions you in an action item comment, you receive a notification.

  • Comment text preview
  • Who commented
  • Link to the action item with comments expanded

Note: If you are @mentioned, you receive an action_item_mention notification. If you are the creator or assignee, you receive an action_item_comment notification.
